Owner
With four decades of personal dog ownership, and nine years of professional leadership in the pet care industry, Amanda isn’t just a business owner-- she is an advocate for our four-legged companions. Amanda founded Sunset Seniors Dog Daycare after identifying a critical gap in the San Francisco pet care scenes. She noticed that senior dogs needed a sanctuary-a place where they can chill out without being overwhelmed by younger, more playful groups of dogs. Amanda has attended DogTec, an educational class based on science and safety. The class included body language, positive, science-based training, playgroup management, and health and safety.
She is certified in canine first aid and CPR, providing peace of mind for senior pet parents. Whether it is basic obedience or providing a warm spot for a midday nap Amanda has created a community for San Francisco’s most distinguished dogs.
