Here at SSDD, we use science-based positive reinforcement to encourage all our guests to be their best selves. They'll have lots of fun with us and their doggy friends, and will be eager to come back and have more great experiences!

Enrichment

Our scent garden with lavender, sage and rosemary for the seniors to enjoy. We use treat puzzles and snuffle mats for additional enrichment!

This is a great way to keep your pup's brain stimulated and help them stay calm and contented...

Senior Living

We offer a suitable environment for your golden-aged dog, including custom-made dog ramps built by Dog of The Year to assist them in navigating the two short steps from the deck to the garden and up onto the sofa where they can be nice and comfy! We can also administer meds as needed.

Fun in the Sun

Lots of space to run around and play!

Splash pad is used on warmer days which is fun for the water-loving dogs!

Also plenty of resting spots for those who would rather stay dry and sunbathe... We also offer walks if requested, with beach trips included!

"After nearly a decade in the dog daycare industry, the inspiration for Sunset Seniors came from watching my own 14-year-old companion, Bowie. He grew to be uncomfortable with the high-energy play of younger dogs, and I realized he wasn't alone. Our seniors don't want to stop being social: they just want to do it on their own terms!

At Sunset Seniors Dog Daycare, our mission is to provide a serene and secure sanctuary where aging dogs can thrive. Built on a combined 19 years of expertise and a deep understanding of the senior spirit, we bridge the gap between easy play and peaceful retirement.

We are dedicated to enriching the golden years of every dog through tailored socialization, indoor-outdoor engagement, and the specialized care they deserve--giving owners total peace of mind.

I founded Sunset Seniors to offer that missing middle-ground: a place where the pace is slower, the naps are longer, and the enrichment is designed for wise, old souls. Whether it's for a day of socialization, or a cozy boarding stay, we treat your dog like our own family!"

"I cannot recommend Sunset Seniors more highly! My older little fella lives in the chill lane, so Sunset Seniors is absolutely perfect for him... Amanda is great at limiting the crowd to a reasonable number - and all with laid-back personalities... They always ... choose the safest option if there's any question about my pup's care -- he's got IVDD and jumps are definitely not recommended. Special medicine and food? Not a problem... The layout is easy for dogs, all the pups can roam freely, there's sunshine, shade, outdoor beds, and cool water play areas for warm days in the massive back yard, rugs underfoot everywhere inside, access to numerous comfortable pet beds and raised water bowls, and there's even ramps inside AND outside. If my guy can't be at home with his regular sitter and old-pup accommodations, then I want him here..."
